Cincinnati came up with 3 runs in the 6th inning when they came up with 3 base hits. Joe Panik got things going when he ripped a one-base hit. Brad Peacock then was wild with a pitch. After an out was recorded, Mark Reynolds then drew a walk. Asdrubal Cabrera followed and he banged out a single to load the bases. Swisher came up to bat and doubled. Jordan Schafer kept the inning going and drew a walk. John Baker followed, but he was set down on strikes. Verlander got his chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes. Neither team was able to score until the 6th inning. The victory went to Verlander(7-21) who went the distance allowing 1 run. Peacock(2-14) ended up with the loss.
