Ian Kinsler dug into the batters box next, but he struck out. One out later, Adrian Beltre stepped up to the plate and he ripped a base-hit resulting in an exciting win for Oakland and a raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. He tripled in the 1st inning, doubled scoring two baserunners in the 3rd inning, laced a one-base hit plating a run in the 4th inning and clubbed a two-run home run in the 9th inning. St. Louis provided plenty of action in the 3rd inning which saw them plate 3 runs on 4 hits, the 6th inning scoring 3 runs and the 8th inning which saw them score 3 runs on 4 hits.
