The winning pitcher was Sale(9-4) who allowed 1 run for the game. Erasmo Ramirez(4-9) ended up with the loss. He was knocked around by Colorado, allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 4 innings. Justin Verlander(5-13) was charged with the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving up 6 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.

Homer Bailey(2-11) ended up with the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 4 innings. 'Thankfully we got ourselves a win', Paxton said. David Ortiz opened up the inning nicely when he laced a base-knock. J.D. Martinez followed next and he cracked a two-run shot. After an out was recorded, Martin Prado then hit a bases-empty home run. One out later, Derek Jeter stepped up to the plate and he slapped a base-hit. Detroit threatened in the 9th but Seattle was able to put down the rally. Masahiro Tanaka(10-2) allowed 5 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory. Danny Farquhar recorded his 11th save. Jason Vargas(1-11) was the loser. Milwaukee was unable to climb back into it after Atlanta went ahead for good in the 2nd inning plating an isolated run. Atlanta out-hit Milwaukee for the game, 7 hits to 4. Morton(8-5) allowed no runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory. Wily Peralta(4-9) was charged with the loss. He gave up only 3 hits and 1 walk in 6 innings. Wth the win Atlanta now has a record of 52-32. With the loss, Milwaukee has a record of 3-7 lately, 28-58 overall.
