Cleveland had the game winning rally in the 9th inning plating 2 runs. After an out was recorded, Adam Eaton began the Cleveland spurt when he drew a walk. Josh Harrison came next and he cleared the fences for a two-run home run giving Cleveland the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. Tampa Bay had 7 hits in the game while Cleveland had 4, but Cleveland had the more timely hits. The win went to Cody Allen(3-1) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Brandon Maurer(3-5) suffered the loss. The Oakland fans were thrilled by the performance put forth by McHugh, but it was clearly his strikeouts that they enjoyed most.
