Blanco was in a groove all day. He ripped a base-hit in the 3rd inning, blasted a two-run home run in the 5th inning, hit a single resulting in a run in the 7th inning and tripled bringing in two baserunners in the 8th inning. Overall Atlanta out-hit Milwaukee 15 to 4. Cesar Ramos(1-1) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Jimmy Nelson(1-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 4 hits and 1 walk. 'Blanco led the way - we just jumped on his back and let him take us,' Ramos said. 'I'm glad I don't have to face him. I'm glad he's on my team.'

The loss was charged to Stephen Strasburg(4-3). He allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings. The early run support proved sufficient for Happ and Texas. That was all the run support Happ required. The pitchers took over after the 3rd inning as neither team was able to score again. Happ was helped out by Pat Neshek who recorded his 8th save. Noesi was the losing pitcher. He pitched 6 innings giving up 6 hits and 1 walk.
